Located on the border between Brazil and Argentina, the Iguazu Falls are one of the most beautiful postcards that two countries can share. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and selected as one of the New 7 Natural Wonders of the World, the Falls attract millions of visitors from all around the world.
They are in total 275 majestic waterfalls that make up the Iguazu Falls, and the national parks of Brazil and Argentina protect the entire area and species of flora and fauna in danger of extinction, such as the jaguar and the araucaria tree.
The falls were formed as a result of a volcanic eruption and the impressive waterfalls are 2.7 kilometers wide, have a height ranges between 60 and 82 meters and their average water flow is 1,800 cubic meters per second.
On the visit to the Brazilian side you can get magnificent panoramic views that gives an idea of the majesty of the falls. In addition, they provide an approach to the bottom of the throat of the devil (the largest of all the falls) experiencing the force of nature.
Also, having more time, on the Brazilian side it can be combined with the Macuco Safari experience in which there is a navigation on the Iguazu River getting ever closer to the falls, visit the Bird Park or enjoy helicopter overflight.
In addition to visiting the falls and this wonder of the world, there are other interesting tours to do like getting to know the Itaipu hydroelectric dam, the landmark of the 3 borders, take advantage of the tax-free area to shop, or enjoy a dinner show.
Day 1
Arrival at Foz do Iguaçu international airport (IGU - Brazil). Upon arrival, our driver will be waiting with a sign with your name in the disembark area. Check in Accommodation.
Day 2
Breakfast served in the hotel's restaurant. At the scheduled time, we will take a tour to visit the Brazilian side of the falls, where there are several stops with panoramic views of the falls. At the end of the tour, we will get close to the Devil's Throat.
The tour ends at the top of the Falls, where there is a beautiful viewpoint with panoramic views of the upper Iguaçu River. In this place, there is an excellent restaurant and craft shop, where you can taste a delicious natural fruit juice or acquire a souvenir of the place. Before returning to the hotel, we recommend that you do not miss the Macuco Safari experience, or the helicopter flyover as an optional tour. Return to the hotel. In the evening, we recommend the Rafain Dinner Show as an option. Overnight stay.
Day 3
Breakfast served in the hotel restaurant. Free day to visit the itaipú dam, visit the ice bar, wax museum, the three borders landmark among other options. Overnight stay.
Day 4
Breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport.
When is the best time to visit the Iguazu Falls?
This destination can be visited all year long. As for temperatures, there are differences, from December to February, we have the most hot days ranging from a minimum of 19 centigrade to a maximum of 32 centigrade. The months of June and July are colder, with a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius minimum and 24 degrees Celsius maximum.
In the months of January and July is high season and in some hotels rates might be higher.
How many days are recommended to visit the falls?
It is advisable to stay for 2 full days in order to visit the parks, depending on the flight schedule the itinerary may last 2 or 3 nights.
