Adaptive skiing is a winter sport practiced in San Martín de los Andes. The sport can be done by people with visual, auditory or motor impairments and, just like normal skiing, to learn to ski it is necessary to take lessons.
The class modules last for 2 hours and, depending on each skier, you can take 1 or 2 modules per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
San Martín de los Andes is a small and very charming mountain village in Patagonia Argentina. The city is beatifull and has very good accessibility for wheelchairs users or with reduced mobility.
The best way to get to San Martín de los Andes is by plane and in high season there are direct flights from Brazil via Aerolíneas Argentinas.
Day 1
Arrival at San Martín de los Andes airport (CPC). Upon arrival, our driver will welcome you with a sign with your name in the arrivals area and transfer in a private car. Arrival at the hotel. Check in. Overnight stay.
Day 2
Breakfast. Free day to explore the city and prepare for skiing. The city of San Martín de los Andes is very beautiful and accessible. Overnight stay.
Day 3
Breakfast and private transfer to Chapelco ski center. Arrival at the ski center and ski day with adapted ski lessons. In the afternoon, transfer back. Overnight stay.
Day 4
Breakfast and private transfer to Chapelco ski center. Arrival at the ski center and ski day with adapted ski lessons. In the afternoon, transfer back. Overnight stay.
Day 5
Breakfast and private transfer to Chapelco ski center. Arrival at the ski center and ski day with adapted ski lessons. In the afternoon, transfer back. Overnight stay.

When is the ski season?
The ski season in Argentina goes from the end of June to the end of September and is divided into the low-season, mid-season and high season.
I don't have clothes and equipment?
No worries, it is not necessary to buy ski, equipment or clothing due to the ski equipment and the clothes are possible to rent.
How accessible are the ski resorts?
The ski resorts Chapelco is in a constant process of improvement in term of accessibility. Even though sometimes snow is a little difficult for wheelchair users there are accessible toilets and facilities. Also, the staff of the resort are well trained to attend skier with any type of disability.
